get in..the iphone is one step nearer

Filed under: apple, products, user experience — gavinedwardsuk @ 9:04 am

According to the FT financial deals have now been struck and the iphone is gonna be coming to the UK, France and germany in the not too distant future. Rumors of an expected formal announcement at the Berlin IFA next week.

how very very frightfully exciting! I can’t wait to get my hands on one and really play wiht the interface. I’ve seen some really interesting videos of interactions and hacks that poeple are making to the OS. With apples patents for touch screen technology and touch screen interaction library’s, how long will it be before we are having to consider this in Interface Architecture?

Or do i just want one cos i’m a slave to the brand? probably both.

  1. Nick, Stephen, Andy, Will and I had a go on Phil’s. NOt connected yet, so you can’t use the phone, but it is oh-so-good as it looks.

  3. I just think it’s silly that the iPhone has mapping, but doesn’t know where in the world it is itself. Rubbish.

Nokia’s (ugly) new N series has GPS. And a massive digi-camera.

Maybe if Apply and Nokia get together we might have one decent phone!
